Finish the Garden, Not Just the Paving

Once a new driveway or patio is down, the edges often let it down: a tired fence, bare soil where the old path was, or a lawn that needs replacing. We finish the job properly.

Because we are already on site, it makes sense to sort the fencing, lawns and borders at the same time. The ground is prepared, the levels match the new paving, and all the waste goes in one trip.

We tailor garden work to your style and budget, from a new stretch of closeboard fencing along the drive to a freshly turfed back lawn and planted borders to soften hard landscaping.

Often added to a paving job

  • Replacement fencing along a new drive
  • Fresh turf where old paving came up
  • Side gates for bins and bikes
  • Borders planted around a new patio

Five clear stages, so you always know what’s happening next and when.

  1. Talk it through

Ring us or request a callback. We’ll ask a few questions about the space and what you have in mind.

  2. Measure & quote

A free visit to measure up, check levels and access, and show you material options, then a written quote.

  3. Dig out & base

The old surface comes up, spoil is taken away, and a compacted sub-base is built to suit the ground.

  4. Lay & edge

Blocks, slabs or tarmac go down with edging, drainage and any borders or features you’ve chosen.

  5. Tidy & handover

Joints finished, the site cleared and swept, and a walk-round with you before we leave.

Landscaping & Fencing Questions

How soon can we walk on a newly turfed lawn?

Keep foot traffic to a minimum for the first couple of weeks while the roots knit into the soil, and water it well — daily in dry, warm weather. Once the turf has rooted and is growing, it is ready for a first light cut.

Can you replace fence panels without putting in new posts?

If the existing posts are solid and the right size, yes. Where posts have rotted at ground level we replace them, and concrete posts with gravel boards are a long-lasting option that keeps the panels off the damp soil.

Who is responsible for a boundary fence?

Your property deeds may show which side owns a boundary. If they do not, it is worth agreeing the work with your neighbour first. We are happy to price and plan a shared fence so both households know what is being done.

Do you look after gardens after the work is finished?

We can help with garden maintenance, from tidy-ups to keeping new planting and lawns looking their best. Ask when we quote and we will include it.
